im pretty sure my cas is messed up and i would like to know if thier is a way of checking the cas on my 95 talon without having to taking off the cam sprocket and finding out the cas is ok, and having done all of that work for nothing...any help would be appreciated :D

What makes you think it's bad? If you pickup a Chilton, theres a way to check it with a voltemeter, but you may need a special tool from mitsu. The car should start (roughly) with the cam sensor disconnected, but keep the crank sensor installed.

willl the car get spark without the cam position sensor connected?

Generally not. From reading the other post, I would say it still sounds like a coilpack problem. Not many things cause two cylinders to go bad. If you wanted to test it, you could always crank it over by hand and listen for a hum/click. If you hear any of your injectors firing or if you see any sparks, then you know your cas is good. Maybe half the fins on the back of your intake cam fell off?
