Someone told me they make some kind of tinted clear coat. If so I wanted to change the red color on my car to a darker red. Has any one herd of this and if so how well does it work?

Thanks

I've never heard of tinted clears. You can use candy colors to make paint darker(they are transparent)

Im just looking for a cheap way of making my bright red talon not look so bright red. So I thought if they just sanded the clear coat down and resprayed with a tinted clear it would probably look darker.

You can tint clear's, it's been done for years, but you gotta have paint that's in really good condition and fairly fresh(year or less) to reclear it, otherwise it's gonna peal. Check with any PPG collision center in your area, they can fix you up.
