Swapping Ignition how hard is it?

I need to swap the ignition where the key goes in on my 1g there is to much play in the turning of the key resulting in my turbo timer not working so i was wondering how difficult it is to swap out this part and information will help..thanks

Pretty straight forward, disconnect the battery, take the lower and upper cover off of the steering wheel. Unplug the lock cylinder, remove a couple screws holding it in and it should slide right out and the new one will go right in it's place.

It's not that easy. I've been parting out my 1g and today i tackled all the wiring. I got to the steering column and...basically i used a sledge to get it off. Maybe i did it the hard way but I dont see it being fun at ALL. Let me know if you had better luck than me.
