how much "trimming" has been done to get these to fit? after first install I made it 500miles my pump got loose so I pulled it modified the strainer and lower l bracket and trimmed the rubber stopper for a snugger fit. so hard to get it tight and on straight, looks a lil crooked to me. 1200 miles later my fuel pressure is dropping again(samething that happen last time too). has any one had the same issues? I'm so close to getting a piece of metal stock and chunk of rubber and makin my own bottom support mount. any suggestions?

you mean some 3" clamps around the assembly and bracket? will the schuck's special worm-drive clamps oxidize/rust in gas?

Use stainless steel ones.

Put it on the right way just around the pump and around the back part, not tightening down on critical parts like that flapping meter or coil. One near the top and one near the bottom may help keep it on better.

Is this going in the 2g listed in your profile? From what i understood the supra pumps wont fit in the 2g sending unit, they are too big. They are a 100% factory fit replacement for a 1g, i know this because the supra pumps are all i run in 1g's LOL...but for a 2g, the pumps are much smaller. I dont think they will fit properly.

I'm almost positive I have a link to an install article for the supra pump on my home comp. & its a 2g. IIRC they show it as basically a drop in (with some soldering). I'll have to double check when I get a chance, I sure hope this isn't the issue as there are days when my Whinebro drives me crazy & was planning on doing the supra pump swap this summer.....

:confused:yea, they DON'T fit properly LOL, so who else has a supra pump in a 2g and what did you do

They DONT use them because they DONT fit very well. From what i have gathered they need a little TLC to get them to fit, get an evo pump or a walbro so you dont have to butcher it up to make it fit, if it will at all.
