I might be buys a 6 bolt engine for my 93 talon tsi awd and it is 0.40 over and wondering if i need bigger injectors and a tune, i guessing i would but i need to make sure, and im going to but my stock intake and turbo and manifold, the guy says it make 351 horses, with a 20g he had on it bigger injectors a stock intake that's not included with the engine for $550. Wondering if its a good price and if needs a tune and bigger injectors.

If all else is stock, turbo and ECU and injectors and cams, you should not need a tune.

A .040 over bore may be 2 cid.

You wont need a tune for that should be just like a normal one with a small bit of extra power unless he bumped up compression

.040 over is nothing. No tune needed. If he used 2g pistons a tune would be a good thing to due but just a tune. I don't why everyone thinks they need bigger injectors for such small upgrades.

I figured i wouldnt need bigger injectors or a tune, but i was making sure, ive never had a engine with it bored.

The guy said a higher compression ratio and good for running e85 on a safc without link?

OK, im thinking this motor is all messed up more than hes saying, 3 days ago he just told me about the wrist pin being messed up.

What do you mean that the wrist pin is messed up? If there is an issue like that with the engine than it needs to be addressed. Also paying 550 for an engine that needs work is very high.

He said that the number 2 piston has a bad wrist pin? Cant i just replace the wrist pins and be done or should i just buy all new pistons?

It depends on what exactly is wrong with it. It sounds like this engine is in some serious need of work. I would hope that you wouldn't pay more than a few hundred bucks for it at the very most. You would have to pull it apart and see exactly what is wrong with it.
