supercharger sound?

What would cause my car to sound like it has a supercharger or gear drive timing when I rev it? it humms much louder than normal.

Bad ground wire on your amp

ac belt had ground itself to pieces and had come off completely. Was rubbing on the other belts

Now, replace the harmonic balancer.

where is that located and what does it do? how much are they? why does it need replaced? thanks.

Harmonic balancer is basically your crank pully. Just check and make sure it's in one piece and you will be good to go.

sometimes blown turbos sound like superchargers. mine used to whine like that when it went.
