Good afternoon everyone!
I kind of figured I would have some rust around the sunroof, and I was right. Ideally, I would like to repair both the bracket and window if possible. I think the window is in decent shape, but i need to wire wheel the rust away to see how bad it is. The bracket definitely has some holes through the metal, and is likely in worse shape regarding the rust, but based on location it looks like it would be repairable.
I plan on repairing other rusty areas of the car as I make my way through it, along with learning body work/painting - so making a small investment in materials for repair would be worth it as I likely have all the tools required already.
Has anyone written up/documented similar repairs? Im looking for a reference/video if possible, or something on general metal repair/body work. I figured my options were to cut out rust and weld in new metal or maybe some type of fiberglass/resin repair. Any thoughts on path forward?
