Well I'm trying to decide what to do. I have a borg warner s256 with a hot side set up for an external wastegate. My problem is I can't get the o2 housing to quit leaking. I have used an evo3 gasket and a bullseye gasket and neither one will seal it properly. Bolts are torqued down accordingly. I think it's not sealing because of how the hotsides holes are. Also when I use an evo3 gakset the holes don't really line up so you have to use the bullseye gasket. Here is a pic.
As you can see the hole where the flapper would be is weird and comes to a point instead of being round and thats where its leaking. It never really mattered before but now I am trying to run the wastegate off the o2 housing because I will be using an fp manifold. Before I was using a Hafe manifold so the wastegate was off runner #1 so the o2 housing didn't matter. But I don't like the look of the wastegate being there so I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. I have been thinking about not doing the wastegate off the o2 housing and just buying an internal wastegate hot side for the turbo. They have a 38mm hole and according to bullseye control boost very well. I don't know though I can't make up my mind. Does any one else have any problems with their o2 housings not sealing due to their hot side like mine? Your thoughts?
