For the past 2 weeks I've been trying to repaint my hood. I did all the necessary steps: sand, primer, sand, base, etc. I finally applied the clear coat and had some runs. I wet sanded with 2000 and hoped polish would cover up the dull spots where the runs stuck out the most but didn't. It looks like crap now. :/ any ideas? I buffed and polished by hand by the way. Thanks.

I would clean the hood off to remove the polish, and the add another coat or two of clear to balance out the dull areas, then polish and buff again. I had some issue when I repainted my wing and this is what I did and it turned out nice.
