I finally got around to finishing my sub enclosure and it looks pretty nice IMO. Before I had a quote on what I wanted done at CarToys and they said about $600 so I said forget that and did it myself for $150. Anyways, it has a new false floor (you can't tell) that the amp (i know it's small) is mounted on. Then above is a MDF frame with plexiglass center that the subs are built into. Pardon the wiring for now, I am going to fix that up soon so it's not hanging everywhere. So here ya go:

That looks really good! Those little MTX subs pound pretty good don't they?

One question: The amp insn't INSIDE the sub box is it?

the project took probably 8 total hours of work. and no those arent wrinkles, i saw that after i took the pics too and i dunno why it looks like that. to get to the amps you just lift the top deck up, its on hinges. and it is not an actual "box", it has two layers that are both independent and on hinges so i can easily get to everything, including my spare. so no the amp isnt in the box, it is just under the plexiglass. thanx

EDIT: and yes, i love my MTX subs, they are load and clean.

Does the plexiglass rattle at all? How did you cut the circles into it!?

And HOW did you get DSMtuner.com to be your license plate!!!!!????

:p

no there is no rattle, the plexi is screwed if from the bottom every 3 inches, and there is the carpet between the plexi and wood which makes it silent. i cut the holes just with a dremel tool: cut a rough circle out, then trimmed it to the marked off circle. as for the license plate, that isn't my real plates, i just photoshopped that on for privacy of my car's plates.

I have to agree ^ Sealed box's own IMO it's the only way.

Thats not even in a box...... :thumbdown x10 But it does look nice. Perhaps if you could build a box under them?

^^^^^ x2

if you guys heard them you would probably take back your comments. but thanx on the looks comment.

how thick is that plexi? i know my sub would rip itself out of one unless it was a inch and a half thick
