Stuttering at part throttle

ok i'm driving down the road today and i'm about half throttle and my car stops acellerating and if i keep it at half throttle then it starts back firing but if i step on it then it goes away and acts fine. what could be causing the hesitation and the back firring? any help would be great

egr is supposed to kick on at criusing speeds(low throttle) for gas milage. Thats what id check

Check spark plugs and wires and of course do a boost leak test.

Ignition breakup or really bad boost leak I'm guessing too.

I thought any restriction or any difference in the signal for the egr would throw a CEL?
