studder problem

Ok I just did the 6 bolt swap on my 97 gst. When I give it gas at about 5 psi it starts to studder. I have no idea what it is. I did a boost leak test and fixed all the leaks. someone help me

+1 on plugs and wires. also check on the gap make sure its 0.028

I would most definitely check the ignition system first (plugs, wires, etc...). If this does not solve your problem, I know my TPS recently caused similar problems under partial throttle.

well I just put brand new NGK plugs in and I have a C.O.P system. I have a friend that said the TPS also. I will check that and get back to you guys

well i have hear of alot of people with COP setups having this problem because they don't have an ignition amp. the coils you use are not as strong as stock thats why there are alot of people that consider it an downgrade unless installed with an ignition amp like a ARC II or something similar. has this problem been going on since installing the COP setup or did it just start? a friend of mine had a similar issue after installing a COP setup and i couldn't get it to go away until i closed the gap on his spark plugs to .025

I was going to buy COP but after some research concluded that stock ignition including and aftermarket ignition like dynatek ARC-2 are designed to work with a low resistance coils 0.5ohm dual output. COP doubles the resistance because two coils per signal/charge are in series causing degradation compared to your stock dual pack coils. Dynatek tech support did not recommend COP with their Arc-2 system, insted they offered their mini dual output coil packs part#DC-11-1 (two dual output coil packs in the kit, 0.5ohm resistance).

If you have stock coils, try them out.
