Strut Bars Worth It?

I was thinking about buying some front and reart strut bars for my 1g n/t eclipse....are they worth the money? How much should I expect to pay for a top of the line set compared to a cheap ebay one that I saw on there for 20 bucks? Here's the link for it

I have ran EBAY strut bars on 2 DSM's of mine and I love them. I am running stock springs and shocks so when I go into a turn the car will tighten up and they take alot of body roll out. I like that setup b/c I do not want to run other springs to do the same thing and have my teeth jared out. I have seen little differance between name brand and EBAY ones just a little on the looks side thats about it. As far as price use the oarts guide on here to help you out. Hope this helps.

That is a good choice right there, I have some Megan towers coming my way. I hear they are nice and sturdy and the difference is very noticable. I'd say go with Megans and not some ebay junk, but hey what works will work.

strut bars to me have the purpose of tighting the suspension by connecting the struts together so that theres less flex when you corner hard ( which also helps to prevent pre struts/spring warpage if you like to slam corners hard )

A lot of ppl dont feel like struts bars are of any help to them, and Ive heard that a lot out of the awd guys which maybe its true to them. But I have two ebay strut bars (front and rear) on my 93 eclipse and I definitly can tell the difference on hard corners, as the car stays stiffer and doesnt lean into the corner as much and keeps a flatter traction circle since weight transfer to the outside of the vehicle on the turn isnt as drastic...

But at the same time someone with fully built up struts/shocks spring sway bars, lowered car , etc may not feel the difference of the strut bar so just depends your setup, but I think its something you should have .

Get the 20 dollar ebay ones, I know I did, and so far so good, and had them on my 1g for about a yr now.. Some ppl feel they need to buy the most expensive stuff for everything , but a 20dollar ebay strut bar will perform just the same, as a expensive 200 dollar struts bar, just the 200 dollar one was engineer to withstand a little more, heavier, nice looking, but otherwise same purpose...

I say def get them ( and yes from ebay unless your concerned about having the best of
the best stuff. )

Oh and the only problem i had so far with my front struts bar is that it barely clears you closing the hood, and will rub on your wind washing water line ( the black cabel on the bottom of the hood that provides the two water squirters on the hood water... Well that will touch and rub the strut bar until it breaks and/ or just messes up so water doesnt flow through it no more .BUT i just got a new one from the junkyard and zip tied it back so it didnt touch the strut bar.. and otherwises everything good.

alright thanks for the advice everyone i'll defineatly get some now atfer hearing your guys' opinions....ill probably go for the ebay ones because i try to go for the cheaper stuff anyways haha
