Hi,

I just bought a New JE Pistons for my car but i didn't know that they were for stroker kit. Can I use them in my non stroker crank. Whats the difference???

Here is the specs:

I ran to the same problem. You'll need the stroker crank such as the 4G64 crank or stroker crank that are modify to fit in the 4G63 block. Make sure it's a 100mm crank. With out the stroker crank the pistion will leave a huge 6mm gap on top dead center which you'll lose alot of compression. Make sure you have the correct part number before you order a crank.
 
If I find a Galant 4g64 crank, will this resolve my problem??? Will the 4g64 crank fit a 4g63 block??

This 100mm crank will flush your stroker piston at top dead center. Make sure it's a 6 bolt crank if that's what you have a 6 bolt motor. The crank will fit right in BUT since the crank have a longer stroke there will be a little problem for the crank to rotate. I don't know about other name brand stroker crank but for the stock/factory 4G64 crank you'll have to get your block clearance so the crank can rotate free. I have to grind down 3 area of my block in order for the crank can rotate freelly. I use a grinding tool. It's easy to grind it down and I'm sure it won't hurt the motor. Best way you can take it to a machine shop have them done.

The only way a stroker piston can be used without a 100mm crank is to get a long rod and there are some benefits to that even. You can rev the same and your rod ratio will be much better. Just don't get to rev happy yet..... The problem with a stroker piston is that the higher the pin gets on the piston the weaker it becomes. More stress on the pin and more temps can be reached. Plus your close to the Rings...... But they hold up well, just depends on what your looking for. long rod with stroker pistons will last a long time due to the ratio and durabiltiy as long as your rev to normal 2.0. Safer is better....LOL
