Sound very suspicious man. I bet it is similar to the Nigerian scam. Go ahead and follow up to see what kind of replies you get. (I know these are fake and send them back stuff that makes no sense or pictures of a naked guys arse or something) I also follow up so they waste their money on a FedEx. When I had my car for sale, I received emails saying... well this an example of one I got...

I am an automobile dealer and I have a customer that is interested in your automobile which is the 1994 CHEVROLET CORVETTE . He wants to buy at the rate of $16,950 instead of $16,999. Mail back if you are interested.

>>Me
Sure, what are ther terms?

I have finalised issues with my client. He has just informed me that he is expecting a refund payment, of a car that he had earlier ordered and paid for, but the order was later cancelled, because when the agent who went for the pick up of the car, inspected the car, he discovered that the car did not possess all the features that was advertised.

The order has been cancelled and he has filed in for a refund of his money. My client intends to use this refund to pay for this your boat that he has now ordered for.

Due to company policy and book keeping, this refund payment which he is
expecting, can only be made out in this one whole amount, that is, the full
amount that he paid initially because the company policy only allows a refund
payment in one cashier check, so he has to instruct for the check
payment to be drawn to you. So he has informed me that payment will
get to you in a cashier check.

He is expecting a refund payment of $22,000 , When payment gets to you, you are required to deduct the cost of your car which is $16,950 and return his remaining balance of $5,050 back to my customer for him to be able to offset shipping charges and other commisson charges. After all payment has reached you and balance sent back to my client, the agent will come for pick up, while you send other the reciept and other title papers to my client via courier. You are required to forward your payment information (1) name,
(2)address and
(3) phone number for payment to be delivered to you
immediately.
Thanks.
Please kindly send more pictures of the car.

Best regards,
Management,

This is all bull...they try to send me a fake cashiers check for more than I am asking for car and want the balance wired over to their account... by the time bank finds cashier check is fake, the guy already got his money tranferred by you out of the country and the bank will come after you for the balance.

Obviously your issue is a little different since you are buying not selling, but it could be a similar setup. I have gotten these emails 4 different times and always from a personal yahoo account, not a business email, which is why I am suspicious of your situation.
If you follow up just to see what becomes of it and get a FedEx'd something, go on their website and track where it came from... I did, the guy claimed London, but it came from Lagos, Nigeria. Also never make any monetary or property transactions until a check has cleared, yes even a cashier's check.

Just google something like "Nigeria cashier check scam", you'll find a bunch of stuff.

yeah i read about the nigerian spam and i'm 99,9% sure this is a scam too. I have allready bought a gsx in NY in december. What i was more curious about is if the eclipse really had more hp in japan

Best regards
tobias

If you have to question the contents of the email, dont even waste your time with it. There are waaaaay to many scams out there like this. BEWARE!

ok dude i know it's a scam my question was only if the eclipse actually had more hp when imported to japan..
