I have a block that I want to build. Im planning on taking it to a machine shop to be checked for roundness and taper. If it all checks out good then I see no reason to bore it over. I noticed that weisco has stock bore pistons. Would these work? I know forged pistons need a larger piston to wall clearance so how would they work in the stock bore? Are they made smaller to give it more clearance or what?

No, but you should be able to get the final clearance in the honing which you need anyway. They get final clearance with the honing machine after a bore, so this will be basically the same proedure, but with a factory made bore. Just make sure your machinist is competent and has (or knows about) the pistons you will be running.

Stock bore forged pistons are made smaller than stock for a proper bore clearance. I know first hand, i have built a few stock bore engines with wiseco pistons (they were 6g72's). If you don't believe me call them. I believe ross also makes stock bore pistons.
