Yes, it's called Saturn alternato swap mod, only time I heard about this was Bulletdsm talking about it. He used it on his gsx, do a search for the saturn alternator. There should write ups and a thread discussion about it.

If you know anyone that works on alternators, they can likely rebuild it to output more power (I assume that's what you want). However, it changes the properties of the alternator itself, i.e. it may give more power at the top end of your rev range, but at the bottom end it won't output quite as much power as it used to.

This is what i get out of the two replies.... check the saturn alternator out, or just wait til I get back to the states to get mines rebuilt... Here in Germany that type of work is expensive or these Herman the German's dont know what im talkin about...
