Just recently i am getting a quite loud scrapping noise out of both front axles. Sometimesi never get the noise...usual when i just start driving i don't have it, but after i bit it starts squeaking. I am just driving and it is doing this. I hit the brake with a medium force and it goes away. I jacked the car up, and nothing is loose..i did find out my drivers side tie-rod end boot is completely shot, not loose, but the boot is pretty much gone. The wheel bearing is fine though. I have brand new rotors and pads, and the pads are perfect condition so there wear bars are even close to the rotor to make the noise. Any ideas what may be scrapping..when i go slow i can definatly tell its in the rotor area though, its like the rotor is warped and only happens in one spot, but i checked the dust shield for clearence issues and its fine too..and ideas? Thanks

All my boots are fine...i'm really thinking its my rotors, going to get them resurfaced next week.

Just sounds like the rotors are gas charged. Take them off and wash them with soap and water. Not brake cleaner as this won't demagnify then. Anytime you buy new rotors or get them turned you should always use soap and water on them before you use them to get them clean. We always wash them at work before putting them back on a car and we never have problems with rotors squeaking or grinding anymore. Also I would check just to be safe that the rotor isn't warped as well. Did you just put new brake pads on it without getting new or turned rotors. If so that's a big no no.

I got new rotors and new pads. My rotors are slightly warped..but not extremely warped.

Any warping will make noise though. Will also cause a little shake as well. Odds are if they were new and warped already they are gas charged. Take them off, clean them real good and then reinstall them.
