When my car gets above about 5.5k RPM there is a really loud squeaking noise and I think its the timing belt. Does it need to be tightened?

My a/c is out so im not sureAlso, is a/c on when it does it?
Check the alternator and/or power steering belt to see if they need tightened. They like to squeal sometimes. I don't think the timing belt can squeal because of the cogged teeth it has.
, when I would downshift from 4th to 3rd and got on it, the alternator belt would squeal a little. Tighten it up! Should be good to go.
