alright Im putting my car away for the winter and want to put the stock springs on with my tokico shocks. the other day I had both the drivers and passenger side shocks and springs off the car but when i went to put the stock springs back on i realized they were alittle bit to big for my shocks. i couldnt screw down the top part. I dont have a spring compressor so im looking for a easy way out of this. Can i just slide the shock through the top of my car down the engine bay. connect it to the arm and then put the springs on somehow?

oh yeah just to make sure, for the stock springs it the bigger (thicker spring) that goes up front right not in the rear,

Do you realize how much pressure car springs are under? Changing your springs without a spring compressor is like playing with death. Please, use a spring compressor.. borrow one from Autozone for free.

btw.. just curious, but why do you want to change your springs for winter storage anyway?

Yeah do you really need to change your springs for the winter? I don't think that stress on them is going to wear them horribly quicker.
I can't believe you got your shocks off without a spring compressor, that's Insane.
Auto zone does have them, they're a 40 dollar deposit, you get back when you return them. Just inspect the compressors first and make sure they are a decent pair. The last one I got from them didnt have the locking bar under it and one side of the spring slipped off while I was changing the struts. Scared the Sh** out of me. Those things are tensioned.

well the springs i have on are tokico springs so they arent that big. thats how i got them off the shock.
I want to take them off anyways because I'm putting the car in a barn and it has a nice size ramp leading up, and I'm tired of scraping the bottom of my car on bumps and shit thats why i want to put the stock ones on. or I was thinking of putting some other springs to raise it up alittle.
the car is probably about 2-3 inches off the ground.
its so low that my drivers side rear tire blew because it rubbed up against something on the inside of the tire...
