I have about 200 bucks to play with right now...

I was really leaning towards the rmdsm lip, but springs wouldnt be bad at all either. The only problem I see in getting springs is that they are the only thing I can afford at the moment/ I wouldnt be able to get shocks or struts. I want to do the suspension right the first time, and get coilovers, but thats down the road. Do you think an RMDSM lip would be better than springs? Considering that my car does need dropped, yet I want to do it right and not have to blow struts and mess up other things, even though it would look much better...

Thanks for the help!

Heres my car btw...

well concidering that if you get springs you should also get a alignement and may need a kit (so be it bushings or a homemade kit) for the lower of the vehicle, and that is going to raise the cost up a good bit. Even more so that you say you are going to buy coilovers in the future, maybe the RMDSM clip is what you may need. But for a bit more you could get the RMDSM sway bars that will be functional on your car and help with cornering. But again they cost $100 more so that may not be viable. But why spend your hard earned money on something you are going to have to sell to someone else soon when you reupgrade?

...My friend, you are right LOL

Very good point you got there. I think Ill go with the lip :thumb:

I would suggest saving your money for your suspension. I know wheel gap is a pain and really hard to look at but you are closer to your coilover setup now then you would be if you bought that lip. YES, the lip would look nice now. Is it functional? NO, not really. Its like putting a wing on your car. Except the lip looks HOT. Just save your money.:D

well a stillen wing does acctually function at speeds of over 45 mph and looks good so the wing point is moot but yeah, suspension is a better choice.... makes you car look better by lessening the wheel gap and will improve the handling (if you set it up right) while the lip will just look good.

Just save up. You will want aftermarket shocks and springs also. Just springs is kind of questionable.

wrd, springs and shocks should come at the same time. why do the work of taking things off twice

Also i say go with the springs and shocks and if you have the money get a bushing set and then you are set with your suspension and wont have to worry about it anymore besides how hard and how much fun can i have taking turns so remember performance over looks all day :thumb: hope this helps

Well also if you change your mind on coilovers depending how much of a drop your going for you could use the eibach pro kit with your stock shocks along with a rear camber kit and your set for $230. Later down the road you can upgrade your shocks as well if you still wanted to. I also dont know about alignment but im sure that will drive up the price, but anyways just throwin out an idea..

Sounds like a good idea...

Ive heard a couple bad things about the pro kit, like they ride very bad and such. Would they be ok on the stock shocks? How much would the Pro kit drop my car, because I have significant wheel gap...Id like to drop it around 2 inches. Also, what is needed to make your own camber kit, since its just a few nuts and bolts right?

Thanks for all of the help guys!!!

The Pro-kit would look good but it won't work with stock shocks. I have coilovers and they ride fairly rough but with the stiff shocks their just fine. I used the KYB shocks and they improved my ride, but big bumps are really rough.

A lot of people say they are fine on the stock shocks because its not that much of a drop, at least for a little while. Me personally I purchased tokico illuminas with my prokit (nothing installed yet). I have not heard too many negative reviews though, a lot of people seem to like them. The drop is mainly to eliminate some wheel gap yet have a good riding height, I believe the drop for a non turbo is 1.3", and any more you will most likely have to do more alignment correction than just the diy rear camber (strong bolts and washers in the rear)

hope that helps
