sorry guys I can't post or reply on the other forums yet, but I wanted to know from those of you that have a Spec clutch did you guys use the TOB that came with it or did u re-use your stock one? I just ordered my Spec stage 3 from Titan and wanted to know before I installed it.:talon:

I don't know if you need a specific T/O brg with that clutch, I would assume not and the OE type will work, but definately use a new one.

your probably going to want to use your TOB that came with the clutch, or one of similar pressure handling. The stock TOB is meant for a STOCK clutch, or again..similar pressure capacity. You are going to put premature wear on the TOB if you use it with a stage III clutch. You shouldnt even need a stage III unless your car is a racecar making 11 second passes or lower at your local strip. Race clutches arent meant for the street because the pressure plates are meant for rigorous racing and hard launch conditions. Its not a very streetable clutch you will just blow it out. good luck though on whatever you decide to choose!!!:thumb: :thumb:

well from talking to the guys at Spec and several members on here, the Spec Stage 3 is a little better then a ACT 2600, but still has great pedal feel, not to harsh from what everybody seems to be saying. I just bought this clutch knowing that in the near future its going to be a need. I just don't want to buy a stage 2 and find out later that i've surpassed its capabilities. As a side note, Titan Motorsports, sells both the stage2 and 3 at the saem price. I got mine shipped to my door for 290 dollars, you just can't beat that, now I just hope it holds up.:thumb:

I dont what unit that spec sends with their kits, but I do know that the ACT metal sleeved ones had gotten a bad wrap a while back for beating up input shafts. The OEM/NSK unit will be fine what what you are doing. Is the one you got with your kit metal or plastic?

There are a ton of TOB threads. The first two are some random threads and the second link is a search on TOB's in the drivetrain forum. Hope this helps you out.

It was always my understanding that a new TOB comes with the clutch. Like was stated earlier, you don't want to use your stock TOB on an aftermarket clutch due to wear issues. Wouldn't it make sense then that SPEC would include this with their clutch?
