i think something is wrong with my turbo, it bogs at 5000rpm is that turbo lag?? i could still hear it spool and then sometimes when it get to 5000rpm it bog..help anyone

When is the last time the plugs were changed? If unknown or older than 1 year/15K miles, change them and report back.

It's about $10 with sales tax here. Get NGK Copper only.

Does it smoke heavily upon boosting? If it does not, then your turbo is probably fine.

If it does, it could be the turbo. If it smokes upon boosting, inspect the turbo for shaft play. To do so, go out to the car when engine is cold, as not to burn your hand. Remove the rubber intake from the turbo intake (phillips screwdriver). Try to move the center shaft from side to side, and in andout. DOn't be too hard on it, but try to move it. If it moves a little, it's not too bad, if it moves quite a bit and is real lose, that is bad. Basically the more shaft play the more oil you burn (upon boosting) and the sooner it will fail. It becomes progressively worse as you continue driving it it eventually can't boost as much.

Is the turbo booting the full amount?

Until you put new plugs in, it's hard to say for sure on the performance testing angle.

how many miles are on your engine/turbo? I am thinking that it's mor smothing ignition based since it spools upto 5k. I agree with spoolin4ever on checking/replacing the plugs.

If its still the stock t25 then maybe your just feeling it run out of steam at 5ooo rpm?

no i don't believe its just cause its a stock t25... my roommate had a bone stock 2g talon and on the free way pull he got up to about 6 grand rpm and the turbo was spooling nice and strong... i personally think its the plugs to be honest but check the turbo just in case... these things would be nice for you to know just for self relievers per-say... and again like he said... make sure they are coopers and not platinum plugs or when you jump into that boost you could be well on your way to melting the plugs to your head

ngk copper part # 7131. heat is one of the biggest battles you face when you have a boosted car. and keeping that heat under control is something you are gonna deal with for the life of the car. like he said, coppers will ensure you dont melt the plugs
