My problem started a while ago but it wasn't bad. My car started to smoke when coming off of hard acceleration. But now my car is starting to smoke more and all the time even at an idle. The smoke cool is blueish and I go through about a quart oil a week driving back and forth from work which is about 200 miles a week.

I rebuilt my engine 20,000 miles ago along with the turbo. Everything is stock and is still that way.

If anyone could help or make suggestion it would make it a lot easier to fix cause I cant figure it out.
Thanks

it sounds like rings to me. if it were valve seals it would smoke mainly on start up and a head gasket would push air/fuel into the oil or coolant.

The fact its smoking off of hard acceleration could be an indicator your PCV system isn't working properly. If the engine smokes only after hard acceleration and runs fine while you're getting in it, I would look towards that. Nobody here can really give you a good diagnosis with that little of information you're going to need to be more descriptive about when and how things are happening.

I just fixed this issue and the issue was I bought a cheap oil catch can and one of the hose adapters had somehow not been milled and was completely solid. Go figure. So my PCV system wasn't breathing at all. I would start there. Check both flanges on your valve cover to make sure they flow properly.

A good way to determine a leaky headgasket on the fly is to let your engine cool, pop the radiator cap and fire it up. If the coolant looks like it's boiling, you're pumping air into the system, thus you have a blown headgasket. However if you dont see it boiling, I still wouldn't rule that out either.

Ill try doing that compression leak down test and see what I come up with.

But it started to smoke first when I came off a hard acceleration and it did that for a month or so. Then it started to smoke while driving it like just coming off 35mph it would smoke too. And now it smokes as soon as you start it and while you drive.
I noticed when I put it in gear it starts to smoke worse than when in park I don't know if that means anything.

HOLY BATMAN!!! A RESOLUTION TO A THREAD!!

Haha, had to get it out. I am super happy to hear that you were able to get your issue resolved! How were you able to identify that the turbo was the culprit in your situation?
