Simple evap canister removal

So I'm purchasing a smaller battery and installing it where the evap canister is. So I removed the battery tray and see that the canister only has one vacuum line attached to it coming from inside the car. So I removed the vacuum line and plugged it up.
I have dsm link if a code comes up but is there anything else I need to do?

I don't think you want to PLUG the line coming from inside the car. That is the vent for the gas tank. You should put a one way valve on it.

Agreed^^ if it is indeed the vent to the gas tank, don't plug it, reroute it preferably out of the engine bay as well. I just moved mine to face the wheel well

That makes sense because I did smell a gas odor when I was plugging it.
I'll reroute it
