Short Shifter?

This site may earn a commission from merchant affiliate links, including eBay, Amazon, and others.

Making the shifter any shorter will cause you to get close on the 3rd gear throw. It is hard to get that space to widen with a shorter shifter of anykind.

I wouldn't bother with it if you really like your stereo. If not, change the stereo and go for it.:thumb:

Good Luck

It was a 500 dollars cd player so i think i'll keep it and forget about the short shifter, but thanks for the info

I went with the B&M and it is almost the best $150 I have spent on my car. I would do it again. It has a setting for 35% and 50% reduction. The best price is at RRE at $155.

I bought mine last year around this time of the month. Maybe they only do business around this season???? This shifter is work of an art. The real bonus is that the metal washers are powercoated. The washers are provided to shim the shifter movement to your liking.

Just to reiterate, the B&M short throw rocks! I love mine. Gave shifting a whole new feel and made the car even more fun to drive. :)

Ooo, tough one. CA sales tax is what 8.25% here in the yay area and I'm pretty sure it's the same near la/so cal, just take your total and multiply by 0.0825 and BAM! There's what you'll have to add on for tax. Don't need to be a mathematician to figure that one out. Although, I am a mathematician... (and sometimes an a$$hole) :p

But seriously, do some searching and i'll bet you find that the majority of people will say go with the B&M. And there's also this neat site, www.dsmreviews.com where I bet you can get some feedback on the B&M and other manufacturer's shifters to compare.

w0rd, but 2GeNTSi is in the bay area (at least thats what his profile states), and RRE is near socal so I'm pretty sure he has a good chance at the sales tax being 8.25% :p
