Shift Problem

Pretty sure the transmission is fine.
However when I shift the car goes from 1 to 2 and then it wants to go back to 1.
I have to recenter the stick just so I can get to third.
So basically my stick tends to stick to the far left side(gears 1 and 2) of the H Patten. However each gear catches fine.

Any ideas of what may be wrong? Ill post some pics if needed.

there should be adjustments on the cables for 1g's. just mess with it a little bit and see if that works, mark the original position so you know where to put it back if it gets worse.
