OK well iv got 450's on the car now... im sure all i need is 550's at the moment, but im doing turbo upgrade in the winter, so i opted for the bigger 680's. Check my profile for mods... Im also gonna be putting in a 2g maf when i put in the injectors. Right now with the 450's and my base fuel pressure set to 50, my IDC is 98% at 6000rpm. Im not sure where to start with the 680's. All i can really think of is kicking the base pressure back to stock, and then putting all the safc adjustments back to 0.... but it be nice to know a better way. the 550's are 10% richer then stock 450's... so does that mean that 680's are 25ish% richer? any help would be appreciated!

Here's a easy way to get some baseline settings.

Check out the Tech articles forum here on DSMtuners.

theres a section called Dyno Tuning.

Click there then goto "Tuning guide for the Beginner to Intermediate Tuner".

DL the spreadsheet thing that KPT321 worked up and enter your theoritical set-up.....
there you go Baseline settings.

Goodluck...

I put -18% in my guide, because that's enough for the car to run right without getting into possible damage teritory.

Start rich, and just do what the logger tells you to.

He said he was putting in a 2g MAF at the same time, which means your suggestion of -32% is about 20% too lean. That's not good.

You probably want to start in the -10% range FOR YOUR SETUP, at stock base pressure.

well i keep messin with the logger and the safc... cant get rid of the knock........ The only things i have yet to check are base timing. I just got a timing cover, and will have it on next week maybe.... heck maybe this weekend if get bored. Im hoping that the timing is the culprit.... Im getting tired of knock and backfires.....

damn, i didn't even see that he mentioned that, good catch..

with the 2G MAF and 660s @ 45 PSI base fuel pressure i ended up in the area of -18s if that helps.. i'd start a little richer than that though with a 2G MAF and 680s, is the 2G MAF stock? that will make a big difference in your settings too if it's modified
