missed my posts.
I actually spent the day working on the car. I pulled the head out and tore into it, I also throughly examined the block. There's some ash in #3, but all are undamaged; you can still see the cross hatching. The HG looked okay. Decision on what happened - car overheated, warped the head a bit, shot oil everywhere. I'm going to take the head in and see if it's still usable; if it is, I'll have it machined and get some fun cams and springs; if it's not, I'll get a new one and get some fun cams and springs.
