Should know tried putting grease in the noisy worn out idler pulleys on my VR-4, but it didn't quite them down.

Should possibly try belt dressing.

Should know its not that the belt is slipping, it's that the pulleys are shot. Besides, belt dressing is for garbage mechanics cause all it does is ruin the belts.
