Runing 2 intercoolers

Hey everyone, I am right now building up my 90 gst and I am installing a Starion/Conquest FMIC and the inlet and outlet end tanks on it are going to be right next to the stock SMIC when I get it installed and I was wondering if it would be worth it to just have the outlet of the FMIC go right into the SMIC then to the TB, would it cool better?

Don't run 2 intercooler setup...

Just get a FMIC Thats all you need for what you want... Buying a starion FMIC pretty much means that you don't want to go that fast anyways cause they are pretty much restriction after 200whp...

Agreed. It would probably just create more pressure drop.. Stick with 1 intercooler.

well my starion intercooler is a left over from my starion so i might as well. I know its going to be better than that piece SMIC

plus the stock SMIC is a restriction to airflow.. definatly toss it

I know a certain DSM running 106+ on pump gas non-ported 14B with a starion core- he had new inlet/outlet put on there, and I assure you, it's NOTHING as bad as the stocker

106mph traps on 93 octane with 450 injectors, 190lph pump, MAFT in blow-thru, 3" downpipe/exhaust. 2nd Gen GS-T all stock otherwise, cept the 14B and Starion core of course

He's got 680 injectors now and I know he's solidly running 23psi on pump and expecting a healthy bump up in traps. He's starting to think that he'll be pushing the core before too much more, but it will take some more runs and testing to be 100% certain - but he's still one of many that are a long way from the 200HP bottleneck crap

Or, exert a lot of effort, a bit of money, and feel dumb before being done with it.
