RPS 2500 discontinued?

First of all, i searched for this and found nothing, so my apologies if it is a repost.

Ok i was getting a lot of work done to my car and while it was apart i decided to go ahead and put a new clutch in. I loved the RPS 2500 that was in there before so i decided to go ahead and get another one. Today i get a call from the shop that he tried to order one but RPS had discontinued it. I was like WTF because i had seen nothing about this and it's a great clutch IMO. Sure enough i get on their website (www.turboclutch.com) go to max series, then mitsubishi, and WOW all they have is starion, evo, and 3kgt. So can anyone shed some light on why they stopped making them or if i'll be able to buy one still? If I'm not able to get the RPS i was looking at the new SBR clutches. Thanks guys.

So after looking for a month I still have not been able to find an RPS clutch. Anyone have any idea where i can find one maybe still in stock somewhere?

I saw that too mike and sent them an e-mail.

You are correct, our website just had not been updated to reflect that change. We do not have it in stock, and I've called a few warehouses and no one seems to either. Did you have any other models you were looking at?

I really want to stick with the RPS beacuse i like to keep what worked for me. I've emailed RPS about this and am waiting to hear back. Anyone else have any idea?

Wow man, thanks for the link. That makes me rethink things, but the reply from Nate is also interesting. I'll have to wait and see what happens.

This is the reply i got from RPS today:

Sorry that we can't accomidate your needs, I tried to look for a dealer
that had one, but I didn't find one. Here's the reason for us stopping
production on the clutch. The current material used to make some of the
parts (that we don't make, and purchace from another company) are to
fragile and break with little effort. We tried to due to what we had, but
found that there were too many problems.

I'm not quite sure what the means but oh well. Looks like I won't be getting an RPS.
