I'm needing to replace my rotors. I'm going to do all four since I doubt they've ever been replaced (74k miles). Anyhow....

At first I was looking Powerslot Slotted and Brembo slotted rotors. But after reading some posts, I think I'd be fine with an OE style rotor. So my question is should I opt for the Brembo OE rotors or just get an off the shelf deal from AutoZone? The over the counter versions are about $20-56 per. The Brembo OEs are about $56 each.

I already have a set of Hawk HPS pads waiting to be put on, but I've been holding out since the rotors are needing help too. Might as well do them at the same time. Would the pads be ok with the Brembos? I got the pads intending to get PowerSlots.

Next Q. I would like to upgrade the brake lines. I may swap the fluid as well. How hard is it to do this? I've never changed the fluid or the lines before. What's involved?

I don't really race except for a few times at the track. Occassionally we have an outing where we run on some twisties, but that not often. This car is my daily driver, so it doesn't see alot of heavy racing.

If you have any sites that have good prices on lines and rotors, post up the links.

Thanks.

If you want something nice then I'd go with the brembo's and you wont regret it. Since you dont really do any hardcore racing or anything I'd say going with the factorys will do just fine. Whatever rotors that you finally choose on I'd save yourself some money and simply keep them blank. You wont see any diffrence between them being machined or blank. Now as far as changing the fluid and brake lines...Its not hard at all but you'll have to bleed the brakes and make sure you get all the air out of the lines after you put the new fluid in...If I was you I'd simply save yourself the headach and have someone else do it!

check on www.groupbuycenter.com has stock brembo's for 33/rotor for the fronts, but they dont make a stock rotor for the back. but another replacement is available for 29/rotor for the rear. Good luck.

I saw that GroupBuy. Tire Rack does carry the rear Brembo OE's though. So I'm not sure if that vendor just can't get them or what.
