I found a set of Rota SlipStreams 17x7.5, 5x114 with a 45mm offset. Will these work on my car? (93 Talon). I was thinking of getting them in flat black.

No dude, don't get them, the recomended offset is 42, and 45 might mess with your steering and stuff, i can't really find any good definitions or anything about it, but i wouldn't recommend getting something with a 45 offset

generally 40 or 42 offset is good for dsm's. 17x7.5 should fit fine with 40 or 42

LOL, are you serious?

3mm won't make a huge difference at all, especially not with the steering. The main things you're looking for in a wheel size and offset is if it clears your brakes and suspension . If it doesn't clear the suspension, then get spacers to space them out a bit until it does.
