Hello everyone, my 97 talon had rockers on it that looked like some rabid metal eating squirrels got ahold of it. LOL So I figured it would be easy enough to find a rocker patch panel online, right? :nono: I searched everywhere and could not find any. There was no way this was going to be left alone, I do not have any good picture of before.....just the other side which is a dream compared to what we fixed. It was so rusted and brittle that there were no longer rockers. Anyway, I will be buying 2ga talon twisty skirts here in a few days, so I figured we would just patch it up good enough to through skirts on it and no one would see it. I have a few pictures of how it turned out. I dont think it looks to bad after mud, what do you guys think? Oh and by the way, the large hole in the well will be patched up too!

Im not big on body work but with some paint im sure i wouldnt know the difference. LOL looks good.

Make sure you aren't more than a few mils thick with the mud. Otherwise it'll crack or shrink over time. Most of the bodywork you've done will be covered by the skirts, so you should be good.

Overall, the work looks fine. Make sure you COVER that bare metal with a lot of primer. You don't want some tiny spot of bare metal oxidizing, forcing you to do all this work twice.

What are them 2 holes for in the 4th pic? I ask cause I have 2 holes like that on my eclipse. I noticed them after taking the body kit off it.

Those are the holes for the side strakes, they are plastic body lines that snap on, your eclipse might have originally been a talon!

Im sure it could, I am not to sure about the curvature down there, but we just started with flat body panel metal. You can fabricate anything if you have the time and tools :)

Maybe the previous owner of my car might have swapped it to look like a talon. My title says 1995 mitsubishi eclipse. I don't know anyway thanks and looks good. I will be doing the same thing soon.

Thanks! And yes at some point in its life it could have been a talon

Might be patching up the other side tonight, if so I will throw some pics up
