RMDSM Sway Bars

But there is a such a thing as TOO stiff.

err, that sounds bad.

Sounds like something that should be said at the end of an Enzyte commercial. :D

But of course there is such a thing. Because you want just enough roll (Very small amount) so that weight transfers to one side and then your contact patch is the width of the tire for whatever your front camber is set at for the best handling experience. And remember folks, excessive rear camber is bad.

anyone else try the RRE rear sway bar? i have a friend who has a brand new RRE sway bar for sale. according to him, it's 25mm. which is a big increase. does it rip the brackets off? i heard really stiff sway bars would do this. i don't want to end up welding braces all over the rear.

If you can buy it, go for it. It is an insane rear bar. I plan on getting on when I turn my car into an insane track car.

With all due respect, anti-roll bars are for fine-tuning a setup - you cannot possibly know if they will help or hinder another driver without first knowing their car setup and their driving style.

Plus, if you have not already used a specific AR bar you cannot know if it will even help _your_ setup - unless you slavishly copied your car and driving style off someone else.

Kind of like me, almost, actually :)

Ive heard of this also.

Call RRE and ask their opinion.

I want to hear what fwd guys think about installing both fron t and rear? I have coilovers rear RM bar and tanabe front under brace all about to go on(well coilovers are on the RM bar and tanabe brace are on the way) I'm debating weather I should invest in a front bar as well?

Bringing this thread back because I'm picking up a set (front & rear) next week. I'd like to hear from the FWD guys with these RMDSM bars.

I think that most people recommend sway bars if for off the shelf handling increase. Its just like taking weight. The way the cars are stock, any bit helps. Now if the car has had already a bunch of work done, and your REALLY looking at making the car get that last bit then I hope you know what your doing instead of throwing a rear RM on like 600LB rear springs :p
