When I got my RM sway Bars a couple years ago I put them in, and noticed there was little to no bushing between the bar and the flat side, where it mounts to the car. I put it in anyway thinking it must be OK. Well for the past year my car has had the worst squeek I have heard from a car, making it sound like a junker every time I hit a pothole or speedbump.
I took them off today and realized the urethane had worn completely away, and the lube I put in there was gone, allowing for a direct metal on metal contact on both sides (front). I knew this would happen and now I would like to address this issue so It isn't a problem again for 5 years or more.
I went to prothane suspension website and saw a pic of their bushing, and again it has almost no bushing material on the flat side. COME ON someone tell me the right way to mount the rm racing sway bars!
Heck even a tiny bit more bushing on the flat side would do.. I thought about using washers to space the bracket away from the car and put in a thicker bushing but where would I get something like this.? Could I make my own somehow?
