I'll start by saying what I have had done to the car recently. I had a very annoying squeak comming from the left front when turning. I took it to the shop and was told there is something called a catch bolt that connects the front strut to the suspension. The bolt was still there but the nut was gone so the strut was just kinda flopping around and that caused damage to my tie rods on that side. I had the inner and outer tie rods replaced on the left side, had the car aligned, and had 2 new front tires that I needed put on. This was all done 2 weeks ago.

Today on the freeway I was getting a vibration from the right front, not constant but maybe 3 times on a 50 mile trip. I could get rid of the vibration by either lifting or speeding up. But this vibration was also not happening at one specific speed, for instance the first time I felt it I was running about 73mph, the second time about 65mph. And it only happened at freeway speeds once I was back in the city no more vibration. Any ideas?

The 2 fronts were balanced when I bought them 2 weeks ago. And I have had a tire that was out of balance before on the back of a camaro before and once you'd get to say 45 it would vibrate constantly and kind of feel like it was hopping. This almost feels like the lugs are loose and the tire is just wobbling around, the lugs are tiht by the way LOL.

Vibration.. It could be so many things. Here's what i can think to check off the top of my head.. Check your alignment record sheet(should've provided you one) and make sure it is in specs. I've seen pleanty of bad alignments. Check your tire make sure it doesnt have any bubbles/blisters on them(shouldnt if there new but still should check everything) Check the air pressure in the tires. Check your tie rods, you can jack up your car and see if you can pull your tire in and outwards, and you can pull on the tie rod arm to see if it has free play. Check your lower balljoint for deterioration. Check your struts and springs make sure they're not abnormaly worn. Make sure all of the bolts were retightened. Check your axle boots for cracks. Check the brakes make sure the rotors aren't warped or a caliper isnt locking up, if its vibrating enough you can usualy feel the wheel immediately afterwards and notice that its much more warm then the others. Umm check your sway bar bushings/links. Im sure there's much more i'm not listing but that should be a good start.
Good luck

Check your motor and transmission mounts, I have seen bad mounts cause vibrations under different/changing loads.
Is your car automatic or standard? If it is standard when you feel the vibration push the clutch and see if it goes away. If it is automatic put it in neutral and see if the vibration goes away.

Thanks for the help guys, I got a chance to look at it this afternoon. Blackbyrd gets the prize, the brake rotor was warped ...quite a few hot spots on it. So I swapped out the front rotors and pads and presto chango the vibration is gone. Again thanks for all the responses. :thumb:
