[RESOLVED] What does a socketed ECU look like?

How to tell if you have an EPROM (which can be socketed):
DSMLink - FAQ - EPROM

You wouldn't be able to tell if you have a socketed ECU without taking it out and opening it up. You can tell you have a socket if you see something between the EPROM chip and the circuit board. You should be able to pull out the EPROM chip easily from the socket.

The first picture is exactly as it states on the sticker - A/C Controller Module.

The second picture looks like the factory amp plug.

I have a 95 so I should have an eprom right? I looked in there, and saw the E on the middle line(thought that was the tell), but i didn't look for the little E on the bottom.

So where do you hook up a laptop for dsm link anyways? Is it the diagnostics port, or should there be an actual socket coming from the ecu?
