[RESOLVED] Door snaps when I open/close it, need help finding a specific part

Hello. I'm rebuilding a 97 eagle talon, and one of the problem it has is that the driver's door makes a loud snap sound whenever I open it. I didn't know what it was and then I realized the "door check" (that little black stick that holds the door opened at various angles) is broken. I've been looking online but I can't find it. Could anybody tell me where can I buy one of these, I don't mind a used part, I just want to fix it. Would I need a new door pin as well? I appreciate your help

I belive that is called the door stoper & you can find one at the junk yard.
Mine is also broken and it is anoying hearing that snaping sound.

You can probably get one at a local junk yard for $5-10 but I bet it's no more at the dealer for a new one.

The problem is, they don't have talons or eclipses in the junk yard in here .... anyway. Do you think the eclipse door check or door stop would fit this car?

WTF Talons and eclipse are like the same every thing.
Maybe you can use some off a sebring or a avenger.

Ok. I've done some serious research and I still can't find what I'm looking for. I went on every mitsubishi web page and I think the piece number for it is #67003. However in every parts web page instead of saying left or right (for either door) it just says "back".... and that's all there is. wtf? However I found it for the sebring, but it is much more expensive and I'm not 100% that it will fit.

One last question, it might sound dumb but I want to be sure... when related to doors, which one is left and right? Driver's door is left and passenger right? or is it the other way?

Is this the part you're looking for? The part number is MR137843. It is the same for both doors according to CAPS.

Left = drivers side
Right = passengers side

Yes that's the one. Thanks a lot turbosax2. I'll look it up and buy it. I hope you can just flip it and put it in the other door like you said.

The part came in today and I put it up. I also fixed the window rattle and it took me about an hour. Everything is working fine. Thank you all
