[RESOLVED] Des Moines, IA DSM Group Name

My solution to that problem was to get a civic. i autocross and drag race the hell out of that and it is a honda product so chances are it won't break on me. My overall investment on the civic so far has been about $550 including the purchase, engine swap and all the upgrades.
(plus it gets great gas mileage so i can save up for dsm parts!)

But honestly how many races do you win in it....slim to none?

It ran a 15.6 two weeks ago at cedar falls. thats as fast as some fwd dsms! plus i'm not in it to win. i'm in it to gain knowledge, experiences, and to have fun. Hell, even my talon lost to a cavalier at cedar falls 2 years ago. Also, true bracket racing is about consistency, not crossing the finish line before the guy lined up next to you.

So my guess is the result is DSTA for the group name and dsmolition as the names for our events?

I would think it would be better to have your location reflect on your group name.

For example: IADSM (Iowa DSM), or DMDSM (Des Moines DSM).

Although I do like "DSTA", it just seems very vague. I would hardly consider it a "Des Moines, IA-specific" name if it didn't have anything to actually do with Des Moines or Iowa.

It would get confusing real quick because Des Moines is abbreviated DSM.

Here are some ideas, the top one is an adaptation from a video game (im sure you can figure out which one) for dsm^2 and the other two are just 2 color variations of an idea for dsmdsm. i apologize for using the same font over and over, but it is the bitsumishi font and it is a clone of mitsubishi's font. (and i really like it)

When I was coming up with ideas for a group name I didn't want to include the location for the same reason mentioned before: Des Moines, Iowa is abbreviated as DSM too. Also, in high hopes I am wishing that the group can some day become larger than just in Des Moines or even just in Iowa. I'm hoping this group can maybe become as big as nation wide some time from now.
