[RESOLVED] Broken Alternator Mount Bracket

Can anyone help or advise me where to obtain a replacement alternator mount bracket?

I have a 1991 Talon 2L T TSI AWD.

I have tried every possible new, used and scrap yard part source, via the internet, visiting scrap yards, part stores, etc.

My existing one has the adjusting bolt head location V slot with a piece broken of. There is no place for the bolt to seat.

I am at the point where I will have to have one made, and I am sure this shouldn't be necessary.

These shots show the existing bracket.

Please help me or point me in another positive direction.

Do you know if the 2G alternator bracket fits. Try find out and if it does I have one I would send to you let me know.

I just posted the same thread! I broke the same piece when I was taking the old alternator out! I just ordered the same part! Hope it works for me also
