Hey did a quick search on these 420a forums and on 2GNT but didn't find my answers.

I need to know the bolt sizes for the:
- 4 bolts from the turbo > star manifold
- 5 bolts from the downpipe > turbine housing
- 2 bolts from the wastegate > star manifold
- 2 bolts from the dump tube > turbonetics delta-II wastegate

The turbo bolts look like 10mm, and the rest look like possibly 8mm, but what are the pitch and lengths?

Also, where would be the best place to get the exhaust gaskets for:
- T3 turbo flange gasket
- 5-bolt downpipe gasket
- little 2-bolt wastegate gaskets

Thank you! Looking forward to getting these last little odds and ends together so I can start installing Friday.

- 4 bolts from the turbo > star manifold: 10mm (M10) x 1.25
- 5 bolts from the downpipe > turbine housing: 10mm (M10) x 1.25
- 2 bolts from the wastegate > star manifold : 8mm (M8) x 1.25
- 2 bolts from the dump tube > TiAL: 8mm (M8) x 1.25
- 2 bolts from the dump tube > Turbonetics: 7mm (M7) x 1.0

The lengths vary, but 25mm is a good place to start for the M10 bolts. Take a flange or a whole part to your source and try several bolts. I walked into a hardware store with an entire 16G before...

- T3 turbo flange gasket
- 5-bolt downpipe gasket
- 2-bolt wastegate gaskets

Pick any supporting vendor that carries brand-name turbochargers and I guarantee they'll have these gaskets. If you were looking for MHI gaskets, then you would need to look for a vendor that specifically carries Mitsubishi turbochargers.

To help others out...

From Road Race Engineering:
- SS T3 turbo flange gasket, part #GASK-T3TURBIN, $8
- SS 5-bolt downpipe gasket, part #GASK-T3TURBDIS, $15
- SS 2-bolt wastegate gasket, part #GASK-38MM-SS, $8

ok... I've looked through most of the vendor pages, definitely the better known ones, and I'm having issues finding the 5-bolt T3 downpipe gasket. The only place I found it was RRE, but they won't ship it fast enough to be to me by the weekend when I will be installing everything. Otherwise there are some other places with that 5-bolt T3 downpipe flange, but no gaskets to be found. This is frustrating, does anyone know somewhere else that sells them?

Alright, I wanted to finally resolve this thread for future reference. Paul, I don't know if your numbers were guesses or not, but these bolt sizes fit all my parts exactly:

- 4 bolts, turbo > star manifold ================= M10 x 30 x 1.25
- 5 bolts, down pipe > turbonetics turbine housing === M8 x 25 x 1.25
- 2 bolts, wastegate > star manifold ============= M8 x 20 x 1.25
- 2 bolts, dump tube > turbonetics wastegate ====== M7 x 20 x 1.0

Hmm... no, they weren't guesses, although M10x1.5 was a typo. All bolts that fit on my TiAL are M8. That's interesting... I'll make a note of it in the FAQ and above.

yeah, M7 is such a rare size I didn't expect it at all, but I bought M8x1.25 and M8x1.0 and was puzzled as neither would thread in. Pulled out an M6 from my bolt collection and it fell straight through. Weird that the turbonetics delta is different.

also my 5 downpipe bolts are M8 not M10. maybe another variance depending on which brand of turbo?
