i dont really know what bulbs the stock fog lights for a 91gst use? i would pull them to check but its rainign and i cant find my repair book to look in there? and for whatever buld it is do they have hid's for that bulb?

yea i just pulled mine, looked the part number up h3

i bought some h3, but had to make so mods to the bulb part the holds it in, but its alot brighter :D

like everything was the same there was just a small part that was on the side. i so got the dremel and just sanded it off

[Because I got the wrong wattage bulbs, but wasn't going to tell anyone about it.] i know the wattage is higher i bought them on purpose to see if it was really a brighter bulb then the 50 watt so no i didnt do it not knowing

in this picture the one with the little part on the side is the new one, the one on the left is the old on, both h3 i looked up the part but the other has a nob off the side.

if this is the wrong place to post this im sorry im not sure where to post it, the stock bulb is a 50 watt, i just bout some sylvania h3 100 watt, do i need to rewire the lights since its a higher wattage? is so how do i rewire them? like the whole wire from the fuse box or where ever it comes from in not sure? and if i do rewire them what size wire should i use?
also i have read about how to rewire the fogs to stay on with the high beams on by wiring them with the running lights, but i have only seen how to do it on a 95 i have a 91 would it be the same?

Ah. There's the difference. They don't want you putting 100W bulbs in 55W housings. It's not a matter of the wiring -14GA will handle 100W- but of the housings themselves. If they're plastic, they might melt. Although I'd doubt it.
The sad part is that doubling the wattage on bulbs seldom does much for the light output- the light distribution is the key. Notice that all the $20 spotlights use 55W H3 bulbs, and how much more light they throw out than a 55W fog light. Reflector shape, faceting, lens characteristics and fluting are what make lights what they are.

yea im going back to the regular 50 watt, but im just getting the sylvania silver stars, but the 100watt did make a big differnce over the old bulb, but the bulbs are who knows how old? in my car
