Well I have to remove some scratches from a F-150 today and don't have time to get to the store to get any fancy product to remove them, and frankly I'd rather use something around the house and same some money. So does anyone know of any common household product that will remove light scratches and don't damage paint? Thanks, and I researched and didn't find anything but toothpaste that might work.

I don't necessarily know if there is a household solution. How light are these scratches? If you have some wax and the scratches are not deep at all alot of times the wax will buff it right out. However I would recommend getting a little 2000grit or 1500grit sandpaper, spray a little simple green on the scratch and get a "hi cut buffing wax" and go at the scratch. It's a dealer trick.:dsm: :talon: :laser: :thumb:

Household items?

Paint thinner?

Wax is the best best maybe some rubbing compound
