Is there anyway to get scratches off of your windshield. The driver that i baught the car off of did something because there are all theses scratches all over the windshield and it makes it really hard to see out of in the dark and when light reflects off of it. Or would i be better off just replacing the windshield?

I am pretty curious about this too, I have wiper marks on my windshield. I think that there are windshield repair shops that would be able to repair that kind of damage. Replacing the entire windshield may be a bit pricey too.

how much do u think it will cost to replace? Ballpark price anyway cause i know all shops charge differently.

Check with a glass shop near you. Also, if you have Pick N Pulls around, they also have contacts with people who'll do a swap-out for cheap. From a regular shop, the glass is probably around $200, and another $75 or so for labor.

hey i hurd that there is somthing you could get from autozone or some parts stor that you buff on to your window i also hurd this from a 17yr old that dont know anything about cars still might want to cheack in to it

PS i can get you a brand new window for 120 +tax + shiping thats what i get them for so i would do it for free in less you want to pay me for my time up to you dont matter to me alwas good to help out fellow dsmer's. :thumb:

Nooooo! I tried one kind of compund, can't remember the name. It was a kind of adobe color powder where you have to water it down. It was from someplace similar to eastwood. Works like crap and looks like it, gets everywhere, dries really quickly and you have to work very fast. This was for minor scratches where you don't feel anything if you run your fingernail across the window. I don't trust those "easy fixes" in general but mainly on windshields. Just hire somebody else to do it.
