Anyone have a vid/sound clip of these. I can't decide which bov to use, I have both. The only problem is I can't get the RS tuned right and I don't have the fitting for the SSQV yet. The RS is fluttering under boost even at the softest setting (running 10lbs right now). I'm not sure if it has 2 springs like the S or not but I'll be taking it apart tomorrow to check. I've checked youtube etc but everyone has them vented. So far from what I've heard I like the sound of the RS better because it's quieter and not chirpy like the SSQV seems to be. So if anyone could shed some light I'd appreciate it before I go and spend the money of the adapter for the SSQV.

Thanks,
Steve

my hks flutters too. It used to not flutter or sound high pitched with my old motor. It sounded like a louder, cleaner, crisper 1g bov. Every since i put my new motor in my car and ran a dedicated line to the bov (nothing "T'd" off of it) it started to flutter. Thats at 10psi or below though. When i was running 15psi it kind of went away, and when i accidentally put my boost controller on backwards and went to 20 psi once, it sounded normal like when i had it on my old motor. I think its really the boost and volume of air that the BOV is discharging that makes the sound, be it woosh, chirp, or flutter.

I've ran both the Type RS & the SSQV recirculated. The SSQV flutters most of the time except under pretty much full boost. The HKS is also very quiet when recirculated, like 1g volume. The type RS is louder & IMO has the better sound of the two when recirculated (love the SSQV not recirculated). The RS does come with two springs but I was able to adjust mine to prevent any flutter running both springs. I had it set to the min setting, which was unscrew the adjusting bolt till it's not applying any tension to the springs & then just tighten it up till it touches the springs. Make sure to put sealent on the adjusting bolt & the pressure port fitting. Also make sure you have a dedicated line of the intake mani & the line is of proper/large enough size.

I know its not part of your question but the best sounding BOV I've ran in a recirculated configuration would defently be the Forge, then the Type RS.

Thanks for your answer ^^^. The dedicated line is a problem at the moment because I have a 1g nonturbo manifold. Got it by accident because I didn't realize they made them the same. I thought they looked different, but they don't.

Yep, seen that website, seen those vids. I was hopin for 2g Recirc'd. Thanks for the effort though!

I have a 1g Turbo manifold. Just let me know if you need it.

I had a genuine greddy RS and i have a blow thru setup. I couldnt get that thing to be loud even on the lowest setting. im running 9 lbs of boost and my type s is about 5 times louder. I think the spring may have been shot or something.
