I've had this BOV on my car for over 1 1/2 years and out of the blue it started making a different sound. I revved the car in neutral and found out that only the small port on the bov was opening, causing compressor surge. I tried a different SSQV and tested for vacuum leaks (via boost leak tester) and it is still having the same problem. Anyone have a problem like this before? Thanks in advance. :thumb:

I have heard stories of the SSQV causing compressor surge becase its not opening fully. Is there a set screw on the back of yours? This should allow you to adust the valve, and how far it opens.

Even with the adjustment screw taken out (no pressure on sping) only the small valve opens.
