hey guys quick question:
how does one know if the recall stuff has been performed already if there is no paperwork indicating it?

also, do only 1g's need the recall or do 2g's have a recall also?

is there a limit of time in order for the recall to be done... like 7 yrs or 14 yrs or something? apparently after that, the dealer is no longer required by law to do it

just type in your Vin number if you have a talon. If not then you have to find a Mitsubishi one. Mitsubishi wont do eagle.

That is possibly a false statement. They did not perform an alignment on my car after installing the new ball joints.

I'm calling the 888 number later on today to see if it is included in the recall. (Although, not 1 piece of paper I have on it mentions covering an alignment.)

I will post my findings....

Some are safety recalls and are perpetual and repeatable.

A safety recall is in effect as long as the vehicle is on the road. It has an "S" coding in the # ex( S1471). There are lots of types of recalls, but safety issues- as opposed to mechanical issues can be performed long after the warranty is over.
call that customer assistance line - a dealership will only keep records of what was done at their dealership and no where else.

Mechanical recalls can be performed long after the warranty runs out as well....but that really isnt the issue here. The question was could the recall be performed multiple times.
