well i installed my wifes fiberglass blitz rear bumper, high rise skirts and buddy club front, the rear was a PITA. cant fit it with the bumper support, ive searched around and really seeing people only arguing about the helpfulness of it, some say 5mph and under is all its good for others say not, but regardless we would like to have it on there since the kid is in the backseat alot, but since it wont work, what if i had someone fab up some 1/2" thick steel and make my own support brace? im curious what other people have done about this.

Many people that have body kits that fit poorly do exactly what you suggested in fabricating a new reinforcement bar. DO NOT neglect to use something for the support whether it's a new one or you alter the one you have. Those who say that an impact below 5 mph is all the reinforcement bar is good for are idiots. The bumper support does have structural signifigance in stiffing up the body and as added protection in accidents well over 5 mph.

yeah thats exactly what i think man, i may end up getting a new rear bumper that does not require removal of the support, or i can just have someone fab up a steel piece
